Collection: Margie Betts

Margie was born on the East Coast, but California has been her home for many years, and she married and raised two daughters on the West Coast.

Margie cannot remember when art was not a part of her life. As a small child no blank wall or blank page in a book was safe from her pencil or crayon...to her Mother's exasperation.

Margie has been a designer and merchandiser, a magazine art director, a children’s book illustrator and best of all an art teacher to children from kindergarten all the way through middle school. When she retired, Margie wanted to connect to her own creative spirit and she found that connection when she joined an amazing group of women called the Maker Bees, led by one of the best inspirers of creativity she has ever met, Jennifer Chamberlin. 

Margie loves to experiment with new art techniques and materials and loves any art medium she can use to tell a story and create joy.
