Description : I stitched the feathers on my domestic sewing machine using free motion and just wiggling the washaway stabilizer under the needle all over the feather shapes I had drawn. I chose red because I had recently seen many northern cardinals after moving to Florida. The background is layered pale blue cotton and a sheer fabric with triangles of darker blue. The edges are machine zigzagged. Write a message perhaps to a birdwatcher you know, on the back in a permanent pen, (even a ballpoint pen would work), and mail using a regular first class stamp.
