Description : I created this abstract postcard by machine quilting ovals all over the background then filling some of the ovals completely with hand stitch in several brown embroidery threads to resemble little rocks being scattered about. I used French knots, satin stitch, cross hatching, chain stitch, overlapping seed stitch, and a woven rose stitch. It feels slightly dimensional because of the quilting and hand stitching. Write a message perhaps to a rock climber or hiker friend, on the back in a permanent pen, (even a ballpoint pen would work), and mail using a regular first class stamp.
