Description : This dimensional fabric postcard has a light blue hand dyed linen background, with six bright red poppies which I created entirely out of thread by free motion machine stitching over and over with scribbly interlocking stitches. I added hand stitched stems and black beads in the centers to hold the flowers down. They form miniature 'bowls' so the edges are raised about the background. The edge is zigzag stitched by machine in a green to match the stems. I have created a lot of poppy art because the symbol of the red poppy means remembrance and hope. The back has a plain section to write your message on with any permanent pen even a ballpoint pen would work. This will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap to mail.
