“Creativity is not a rare ability. It is not difficult to access. Creativity is a fundamental aspect of being human. It’s our birthright. And it’s for all of us.”

--Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being

Lisa has been creative in many ways throughout her life. She is a wife, mother of four daughters, Mimi to eight grandchildren, and a retired first grade teacher. Through the years she has been creative with her students, as well as with her daughters in sewing numerous Halloween, theater, and choir costumes. She has played violin beginning in elementary school to present day with music ministry at church, weddings, her daughters’ high school musical orchestras, and volunteer community orchestras and theater. She also takes piano lessons. She enjoys writing and crochets beautiful blankets.

Beginning in 2020 with her retirement, she joined the Sisterhood of the Maker Bees where she began to add mixed media to her creative pursuits. She loves anything and everything, but especially paper, journal making, mixed media painting, and textiles. She loves vintage items and the stories they tell.

She is grateful to her family and The Sisterhood for the joyful journey she has taken and will continue to walk. The friendships she has made are priceless.
