Collection: Linda Brill

Linda had always believed that she was an artist, but her fear of the blank page was a major obstacle. It wasn’t until a good friend invited her to take Jennifer Chamberlin’s “Laundry Day” class with her in August 2020 that she was able to move forward and make artistic progress. This first class led to joining The Sisterhood of Maker Bees, many more fun projects followed, and Linda’s dream of being an artist began to unfold. But the real turning point happened in April 2021. After staying up almost all night to finish a delightful project she looked at it with pride and said with excitement, “I am an artist!!”

It is hard for Linda to pinpoint her favorite art forms, but she just always seems to enjoy collage and “wonky” projects the most. In Jennifer Chamberlin’s recent “Concept to Creation” course she was able to determine that her preferred style leans toward impressionist art and looks forward to further pursuing this form of artistic expression. She also loves to draw and paint and use pastels and markers.

In addition to being an artist, Linda is an accomplished musician. She has played piano and violin since childhood and plays viola in Millennial Choirs and Orchestras. Although she grew up in Indiana and lived most of her life there, she now loves her home in the mountains near Salt Lake City, UT, with her husband of 50 years and 2 kitties, and near their grown children and 5 grandchildren.
