Collection: Kathie Schroeder

Kathie is a creative soul and an inquisitive artist. Her curiosity and desire to create has led her to try a wide variety of mediums on her artistic journey. Historically, she has focused on music, writing, making jewelry, and yarn arts. Most recently, her curiosity about mixed media has led her to The Maker Beehive. This connection with other artists and Jennifer’s authentic and relaxed approach has allowed Kathie to grow in confidence, boldness, and challenge herself as well as be more consistent with regularly making art. Kathie enjoys mixed media because it provides opportunities to use all the art supplies Kathie has collected over the years, revisit her love for collage, and use papers made from her obsessive gelli plate printing habit. Kathie enjoys infusing black and white elements into her work and would describe her style as sometimes playful and abstract, sometimes colorful and classic, and always aimed at bringing gladness and joy to herself and others.
