Collection: Kaori Brown

Kaori (Kay-or-ee) finds joy in working with gouache, acrylics, and watercolors, but her true passion lies in transforming everyday materials into whimsical, one-of-a-kind creations. She crafts beautifully decoupaged and painted bowls using egg carton paper clay and incorporates handmade egg carton paper into her artwork. Inspired by nature, she dries flowers from her garden to add delicate, organic touches to her pieces. She also enjoys hand-sewing art books for art journaling, blending her love of texture and storytelling into her work.

As a Maker Bee, Kaori eagerly embraces new inspirations and creative adventures and looks forward to crafting new creations. A retired elementary school teacher with 30 years of experience, she now devotes her time to art and exploration. She lives in Washington with her husband and their beloved Shih Tzus, *Maisy and Toby, who keep her company as she brings her artistic visions to life. * Maisy helps her make fodder for collages and paints too.
